About our cattery.

What makes your cattery special?

At CatzillaSG, we specialise in healthy, well-socialised British Shorthair cats with outstanding temperaments. Every cat comes from champion bloodlines. In addition, every adoption is backed by a comprehensive health contract, a lifetime health guarantee, and ongoing support. We are also proudly Singaporean-run — when we say lifetime guarantee, we truly mean it.

Above all, our priority is your peace of mind. We want every family to feel completely confident when welcoming a CatzillaSG kitten home.

What is the lifetime health guarantee?

All parents at the selective breeders we partner with abroad are carefully selected and tested for genetic conditions. As a result, every kitten we import is confirmed free from hereditary diseases.

We provide a lifetime guarantee against congenital diseases. If a congenital illness leads to a kitten’s passing, we will honour our promise with a replacement kitten or refund — your choice. Every adoption is supported by a comprehensive health contract that clearly outlines these terms. That is how confident we are in the selective breeders we partner with abroad.

What breeds of cats do you have?

We specialise in British Shorthairs (BSH) and British Longhairs (BLH) in a variety of stunning colours. Our most sought-after colours include Blue Golden Shaded, Lilac Golden Shaded, Cinnamon Golden Shaded, Black Silver Shaded, and many more. Occasionally, we also offer rarer colours such as Chocolate, Lilac, and Fawn.

In addition, we are proud to present show-quality Ragdolls and charming Munchkins/Minuets. Both are well-loved for their playful personalities and adorable looks. For details on currently available colours, please contact us directly.

Where are your cats from?

Our cats are primarily imported from the UK, Australia, and various parts of Europe — sourced from a small group of vetted, internationally registered breeders we work closely with.

How we keep them healthy.

Are your kittens vaccinated and dewormed?

Yes — all kittens receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming treatments (including multiple rounds as required), and thorough health checks before going home with you.

Are your kittens FIV/FeLV negative?

Yes. All parents at the selective breeders we partner with abroad are thoroughly tested negative for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukaemia Virus). Results are shared with you before any deposit.

What are the trusted cat food brands for my kitten?

We feed our British Shorthair kittens a balanced mix of premium dry and wet food. This builds strong immunity and a healthy coat. Trusted brands we recommend:

  • Royal Canin Kitten
  • Hills Science Diet Kitten
  • Orijen Cat & Kitten
  • Acana Wild Prairie
  • Ziwi Peak (wet)
  • Wellness Core Kitten

If you wish to switch brands later, please transition gradually over seven to ten days. This protects your kitten’s digestion and keeps mealtime stress-free.

What are the foods to avoid?

Certain foods can be harmful or toxic to kittens. Avoid feeding:

  • Raw fish: Can cause vitamin deficiencies.
  • Chocolate, onions, garlic, and grapes: Toxic to cats.
  • Human foods: Many are too salty, fatty, or unsuitable for kittens.
  • Milk: Most cats are lactose intolerant — avoid cow’s milk. Use cat-specific milk if needed (e.g. goat milk).

There are foods and plants that are harmful to kittens and may not be listed here. Please check with us during your appointment or other reliable sources.

What is the recommended feeding schedule for my kitten?

It’s important to adjust portion sizes according to age and activity level:

  • 3–4 months old: 3 or 4 small meals a day.
  • 4–6 months old: 3 meals a day.
  • 6+ months old: 2 meals a day.

Always provide fresh water and adjust portions based on growth and needs. If your kitten shows any signs of indigestion, diarrhoea, or abnormal appetite, contact us or your vet promptly.

When can I take the kitten home after confirmation?

You can usually take your kitten home immediately after confirming your kitten at our cattery. However, if you need additional time to cat-proof your home, we are happy to hold your kitten for you until you are ready.

How should I prepare my home for the kitten’s arrival?

A little preparation goes a long way. The right setup helps your British Shorthair kitten feel safe from the very first day.

Before pickup — set up a few essentials:

  • A quiet room with food, water and litter tray
  • A cosy bed or carrier with a familiar blanket
  • A scratching post and a few simple toys
  • The same food brand we provide, to avoid stomach upset

The first 48 hours — keep the kitten in one quiet room. Sit with them often, but let them explore at their own pace. Loud noises and too many visitors can overwhelm a new kitten.

The first two weeks — slowly open up the rest of your home. Introduce one room at a time. If you have other pets, keep them apart at first and swap scents using a soft cloth. Above all, be patient. Most kittens settle in fully within ten to fourteen days, and gentle routines make all the difference.

Should I isolate my kitten at first?

Yes — it’s best to confine your kitten to a single room for the first few days. This helps them adjust gradually and prevents overwhelming them with too much new space at once.

When can I introduce my kitten to other pets?

Wait until your kitten is settled and confident in their environment, usually after 1–2 weeks. Introduce other pets slowly and under supervision to ensure a smooth, low-stress transition for everyone.

What should I do if my kitten hides or seems scared?

Hiding is normal during the initial adjustment period. Give your kitten space and avoid forcing interaction. Use gentle voices, sit nearby, and let them come to you on their own terms. Within a few days, they will start exploring more confidently.

What if my kitten refuses to eat?

It’s normal for kittens to temporarily refuse food or lose their appetite due to stress from being in a new environment. Offer the same food they were eating with us, in a quiet spot, and give them a day or two to settle. If appetite loss continues beyond 48 hours, please contact us or your vet.

How can I bond with my new kitten?

Spend time playing, talking gently, and offering treats to build trust and comfort. Use interactive toys like teasers or balls to engage with them. Always let your kitten initiate physical contact at first — patience builds the strongest bond.
